This is a review of the keylogger software – 007 Spy Software. As always, we'll start off at the products website. The website is very easy to understand and navigate. Sadly, 007 Spy Software no longer offers a free trial, which ill be a big put off for many customers. You have a choice between the regular edition and the plus edition of the software. The plus edition has a few extra features – Online search logging, chat logging, files printed, file activity and user idle time.
The 007 Spy Software itself is easy to install and set-up. You can customize the key combination that opens up the program. The stealth levels of this keylogger are pretty good. The software couldn’t be found in the task manager or the add/remove programs list. The user interface is also very easy to use and neat to look at. The software did seem to be a bit buggy at times though and we've had a few random crashes whilst testing.
The filtering options of 007 Spy Software are worth noting and are pretty good as is the file activity monitoring, although both of these options are only available in the plus edition. Unfortunately, there are quite a few down sides to this software. The chat monitoring only works on one side of the conversation in ALL instant messaging applications, which is a massive down point (you also have to pay extra for this feature!). Also, as we mentioned the before, the software can be a bit buggy and sometimes crashes.
All in all, 007 Spy Software is a reasonably good keylogger with a few good features. The stealth levels are good but sadly the software lacks in any really good, advanced features. The chat monitoring and the instability of the software really lets the program down. For this price, there are much better keyloggers out there.
