I Am Big Brother was one of the first keylogger/computer monitoring programs to hit the market. The software, bought to us by 'Internet Safety Software' claims to be an all in one monitoring solution for parents and employers but does it live up to its name? Lets find out...
I Am Big Brother offers a live demo on their website so you can see how the software works, although this is a far cry from a free trial The purchasing and downloading of the software is simple and installation is very easy. Exceptions will needed to be added to most anti-virus software.
I Am Big Brother monitors all the usual aspects; Keystrokes, screenshots, websites visited, programs used, chat and email. Although apart from this, the software falls short. There are no other features that makes the program stand out from the crowd in any way. The features that I Am Big Brother does monitor are flawed and the user interface seems a bit old-fashioned.
The websites visited feature has no date or time stamp and you cant tell how long a website has been visited for, so knowing if a website was visited intentionally or stumbled onto is impossible. System Performance slows down considerably when using the software and a lot of the features (eg chat and email) only work with certain sites. I Am Big Brother offers a remote reporting option which costs an extra $9.99 per month.
