Keystroke Spy is the very basic keylogger from 'Spytech Web'. The software is a sister product to others we've reviewed on this site – Spyagent and Realtime Spy. Keystroke Spy is very limited in its functions – lets find out what it does.
As always, we start off at the website. The Spytech website is definitely one of the most professional looking keylogger website I've seen. All the products sold have a free trial but as I mentioned in another review, personally I think there are too many products, which could be condensed down into two or three. Either way, Keystroke Spy is easy to purchase and download.
The installation process of Keystroke Spy is quick and painless and once installed you can open the user interface with a set key combination and a password of your choosing. Once inside, the user interface is very friendly, good looking and easy to use. Everything you need is one or two clicks away and everything is very self explanatory.
Keystroke Spy is one of the cheapest of Spytech's products but is very limited in what it can do. Obviously, keystroke recording functions are there including – keystrokes pressed, chat conversations, user names and passwords. Screenshots can also be taken and the title of the window people are viewing is recorded. The reports can also be sent to you remotely via email.
Unfortunately, apart from a few extra little features this is about as good as Keystroke Spy gets. Obviously the software is meant to be limited in its features to constitute the lower price tag. The problem is, the price tag isn’t that low. There are a lot of keyloggers on the market at this price and lower that have all the functionality of a normal keylogger. Sadly, because of this we have to score Keystroke Spy lowly – stick to something else!
