SniperSpy is the computer monitoring software from the 'Explore Anywhere' company. From the start up, SniperSpy was one feature that should push it to the head of the pack – Real time screen monitoring. You can view exactly what's going on on the target computer at any time with video footage. So lets see how SniperSpy does...
SniperSpy is the sister product of 'Explore Anywheres' SpyBuddy. The difference in the software is that SpyBuddy includes filtering options which SniperSpy does not but SniperSpy includes real time video monitoring which SpyBuddy does not. This immediately annoyed me as apart from this the products are pretty much similar and could have been sold in one single package.
SniperSpy is actually sold as a reoccurring billing product. You can pay quarterly, semi annually or annually. The reason for this – you log into their website to view everything, making this a sort of 'membership product'.
The other features of SniperSpy include; keystrokes pressed, websites visited, programs used, chat and IM monitoring, and the ability to perform remote commands on the target computer when your away – which could be pretty handy! SniperSpy also has a remote install feature which allows you to send the installation file to the target computer disguised as a photo etc and once opened silently installed.
All in all, SniperSpy is a pretty good product, although the real time viewing is a little bit gimmicky and the extra cost and reoccurring billing probably wont make it worth it for you. If your looking for a solid keylogger there are definitely better options out there.
