This is a review of Spytechs popular computer monitoring software – Spyagent. The software offers complete monitoring of the target computer and has a number of features. Spytech also offers other versions of its computer monitoring software including Realtime-Spy and Netvizor.
The website is easy to navigate and provides download links for free trials of each of its software. I purchased and downloaded Spyagent and installed the program with no real complications (although clashes with anti-virus meant having to disable AVG).
The software looks easy to use and has a very user friendly interface. Once installed and set up Spyagent runs very stealthily and couldn't be found in the task manager or the add/remove programs tab. You can open the console using a user defined key combination (by default this is Control + Shift + Alt + M) and your chosen password.
For this review I tested each function separately and encountered no problems. I then restarted my computer and went about a few menial tasks for 2 hours. This included browsing the web and entering passwords, using different programs and word processing and a few other tasks like printing, playing a game and using MSN messenger.
Once I finished I re-opened the software and found that everything had been recorded perfectly and was compiled in an easy to read fashion. Separate tabs show screenshots, websites visited etc and everything was time and date stamped.
I found Spyagent to be a very competent piece of software with no real problems. My only concern is the clashes with anti-virus software which can be sorted out with a few extra details.
