Stealth Keylogger is the software from AMPLUSNET and has been on the market for a long time now. The keylogger costs $39.95 (although they regularly have discounts, at the time of writing its 50% off) and the website offers a 5 day trial of the software.
The purchasing and downloading of the software is very easy and the installation process was very impressive, taking the shortest amount of time I’ve ever witnessed for a keylogger and requiring no restart of the computer. So far so good.
After installing the software you can set your key combination that opens the program and your password. Once that’s done Stealth Keylogger springs into life. The user interface is very friendly with laid out in an easy to understand way. Now to the title – STEALTH Keylogger! Is the keylogger stealthy? Well, the software isn't viewable in the task manager, add/remove programs list ect but the directory folder is simply 'hidden'. Someone with a bit of expertise would be able to find the software with no problem.
The features of Stealth Keylogger are average – Keystroke recording, website monitoring, screenshot capturing and chat monitoring. Although the chat monitoring very rarely monitors both sides of the chat conversations. There are a few extra features that you wouldn’t find in most keyloggers, but there not much to shout about. They are, system inactivity logging, self uninstall and the ability to take screenshots of every website visited not just at certain time intervals.
So, all in all Stealth Keylogger is an ok keylogger with a few good features. What it does do it does reasonably well but theres a lack of anything special. The price is reasonable for this keylogger and it may be ok for you if you want something basic but there are a lot better keyloggers on the market for the same price, if not less.
